Alberto N. Venereo Fernandez (b. 1978, Pinar del Río, Cuba) is a Cuban artist based in Miami, USA. He graduated in 2001 from the Escuela Profesional de Artes Plásticas in Pinar del Río, where he developed foundational skills in sculpture and visual arts.
Between 2003 and 2013, Venereo honed his craft through extensive work in antique restoration and reconstruction as part of the Proyecto Fideas initiative. This decade of meticulous hands-on experience gave him an unparalleled understanding of materials, form, and structural integrity — skills that would prove essential in his transition to large-format sculpture.
Since 2014, Venereo has been a core member of RUN Art Foundry and the RUN Art Inside collective, participating in monumental sculptural projects across Miami. His work reflects a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship fused with contemporary sculptural expression. Coral, his representative piece in the Run Art Inside catalogue, draws inspiration from marine ecosystems and organic geometry.
